CHARACTER NAME: Gentarou Kisaragi
SERIES: Kamen Rider Fourze (Kamen Rider Fourze @ Kamen Rider Wiki - Gentarou @ Kamen Rider Wiki)
CANON POINT:
APPEARANCE: Gentarou's Declaration of Friendship, Gentarou's Reaction to Kamen Rider Shin, and Gentarou Learning to Blast Off! And, of course, Gentarou as Kamen Rider Fourze.

PERSONALITY:
The first thing you're going to notice about Gentarou Kisaragi is that the boy stands out. He refuses to conform to the rules, he's disrespectful to teachers he doesn't like, he wears a jacket like your typical delinquent and has his hair styled in a pompadour, and he's known for getting into fights. He's loud, impulsive, and at first glance, just another typical hot blooded thug.

He's also the best friend someone could probably ever hope to have.

Gentarou may come off as a thug, and sometimes, he even acts like one, but don't let appearances fool you. Despite his looks, he almost always has a bright, vibrant, kind smile on his face, and he wants nothing more than to be friends with every single person he possibly can. It doesn't matter whether you're a cheerleader, on the fencing team, or even a goth or a playboy - Gentarou will want to be your friend no matter what.

Don't believe it? You could look away for a few episodes, then look back at him enterting the cafeteria again, and he'll know what's going on in the lives of a dozen more people than he did last time he was there - and he won't get a single thing wrong. He cares about every friend he has, no matter what kind of person they are, and he will know what's going on in their lives - whether it's their cat having babies, them having to move away, or a new brother on the way, Gentarou will be there, knowing what's going on and ready to support his bros.

But surely, surely, there are people Gentarou doesn't like, right?

Absolutely! But not liking someone, not being able to understand them, not being able to feel their pain and help them - that just makes Gentarou want to be their friend that much more. To Gentarou, not getting along with someone just means that they'll be that much closer when they finally become bros. An early example of this is JK, who manipulated, stole from, and even used Gentarou as a human shield - and Gentarou acknowledged that he couldn't forgive this, but that roughness that was hard to work with, all of it just made Gentarou want to be there for him - and vice versa. And sure enough? By the end of the episode, Gentarou and JK were fist bumping.

Wait - Gentarou was manipulated, stolen from, and used as a human shield? Well, Gentarou, in his never ending friendliness (as... quirky as it can be sometimes - for example, he ends up going to the delinquents to make friends and always seems to end up beating them up, crying out "I JUST WANTED TO GET TO KNOW YOU GUYS!" as he does) is also extremely trusting, and fairly gullible (initially, he fell for a group of goth girls acting as goths and was terrified of them - he's rather superstitious as well: his own words when finding out the truth were along the lines of "As long as you're not witches, then I'm fine!") as well. The idea that JK, who he had deemed a person he was friends with, was using him simply wouldn't cross his mind, and he was momentarily devastated when he found out that JK had just been playing him like the playboy plays everyone.

Speaking of being devastated, Gentarou can be extremely empathetic as well. He had had an intense rivalry with the Football team's captain, one that led to the captain actually interfering with a battle that led to a Zodiarts (one of the bad guys) getting away - in other words, it could have gotten someone killed. Shortly after, however, as Gentarou learned of Shun's background, how his father had been forcing ideals and views on him from childbirth, and he was miserable, not only did Gentarou break down sobbing and fall to the ground, he proceeded to hug the poor guy - despite the problems they had had beforehand.

Despite all of these things that might seem like things to make someone come off as a coward or a wimp (this was particularly apparent during the "witch" event), the fact is, Gentarou is extremely confident in himself. He firmly believes that he can make friends with everyone in his school, and he's going to go to any lengths to do that. What's more, he just believes in himself - his abilities, his sense of self, manliness, and so on; but he knows when he's reaches his limits too, and isn't ashamed to ask for help when need be. It was going to Kengo for help, when he had made it clear he wanted to do things "his own way" that he finally got Kengo to accept him as Fourze.

This extends in early episodes to even later ones - when Gentarou has screwed up royally, despite his posturing as a "delinquent," any pride he has does not get in the way of him crying in public (his friends even just comment to this as "uh oh, he's crying again," and earlier during this length fight with Kengo, he could be found crying and apologizing to a robot that Kengo built), and he is always willing to throw away his own pride if it means making things right with a friend.

Truth be told, Gentarou doesn't seem to let things about himself get under his skin. He does get annoyed/aggravated, sure, but he's still fairly easy going - it's when people do things to other people, especially when it's uncalled for, that makes his blood boil. During a cafeteria brawl, he seemed to be semi-enjoying it, but once the Football team took a friend of his "hostage" and started playing dirty, then Gentarou was mad. Another classic example was, when he first met Kengo, Gentarou watched Kengo recieve a love letter - Kengo promptly threw it off a bridge.

Gentarou's response?

Yell at him, then jump off the bridge and retrieve it.

At the end of the day, that just shows that no matter what, Gentarou will always look out for people: Whether they've wronged him (like JK), whether he doesn't even know them (like the girl who offered Kengo her love letter), or whether they're his good childhood friend (Yuuki, who was taken hostage by the Football Team). No matter who they are, if you know him, Gentarou's got your back.

He can even have your back more than you might realize, in fact: his friends ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS come first to Gentarou, and he can be surprisingly perceptive about people (see: his knowing Ryuusei was pretty much lying about who he was for most of his introduction). What instigated that fight with Kengo mentioned earlier? On the outside, he had been pushing the new kid, Ryuusei, to take Kengo's place in tuning the Astro Switches. But wait, it turns out, Gentarou had actually been extremely worried about Kengo's health (Kengo having had a chronic sickness from birth) and was hoping to use this to give his good friend a break, without making it look like he was pitying him. Good plan, right? ... Well, ironically, Kengo got jealous because it looked like Ryuusei was taking his place and they ended up in a fight anyway.

Still, Gentarou isn't perfect by any means. His grades are terrible (he celebrated getting his "first ever 50" for instance), his English sucks ("'Trash'? Does that mean... Manliest of the manly?"), and he IS the trademark delinquent in many, many ways. Even if he has the best intentions at heart, he can cause fights (he did make that misunderstanding with Kengo after all) and getting BACK friends can be tough! Sometimes, the desire to make friends can overtake normal logic for him (or what would be considered normal logic for other people). He can be loud and impatient, but always full of heart, and is essentially a guy who always goes with the flow - be it suddenly becoming a Kamen Rider, or getting a phone call in the middle of battle and shoving the enemy out of the way to take it.

ABILITIES: Before obtaining the power of Fourze (the powers of the cosmos!), Gentarou already had fairly decent to excellent fighting abilities - nothing seemingly disciplined, but his street fighting skills are more than enough to get him regularly beating the crap out of the school delinquents (he just wants to be friends!) and surviving/winning his tussles with the American Football Team before he finally befriends the captain.

Once transforming into Kamen Rider Fourze, Gentarou gains enhanced fighting abilities, "the powers of the cosmos" (or something to the effect), and the ability to use the Astro Switches - forty power ups that give Gentarou various types of artillery - from a gatling gun to a chainsaw to even a pogo stick or a smoke barrier. Some of these switches can be used in tandem to make Limit Breaks, suped up finishes to finish off Zodiarts, and other times he'll just make up finishing attacks on his own. Gentarou can even use some of the switches to transform his "State" and become a more powerful version of himself, such as Elec State, Fire State, or Magnet State, making him a force to be reckoned with.

POSSESSIONS: Gentarou would have the clothes on his back! The Fourze Driver (his transformation belt) and the Astro Switches (power ups, essentially, which he carries on his person by the handful) would likely be classified as weapons and be lost when coming to the game. That said, the Magphone (a cell phone powered by two switches) would come with him, but it would be reduced to a regular cell phone.

>PERSONA
MAJOR ARCANA:
- The Fool
- The Magician
- Strength
- The Star

SHADOW:
Gentarou's dungeon would be a large high school, pristine in looks and appearance. It would seem to go on forever, and the main area to "explore" would be the locker filled hallways. Classrooms could be peeked into, where happy students can be seen enjoying themselves, being friendly, and so on - notably, though, there is no "Gentarou" in any of the classrooms. The further one travels into the school, the more run-down it starts to become - eventually, the last floor ends in a doorway into a storeroom, where the locker to the Rabbit Hatch normally would await Gentarou.

Instead of being able to enter the Rabit Hatch, however, upon entering the storeroom, explorers will find themselves in the cold darkness of space - not on the moon, simply... nowhere. It is here that Gentarou's Shadow will be waiting.

Gentarou's Shadow, in contrast to Gentarou, would be dressed in the normal school uniform, as opposed to Gentarou's usual jacket. His hair would be combed, and he would look much more "normal" than Gentarou, whose mere appearance SCREAMS "look at me!" at first glance. He would be a passive looking person, and at first, not even speak to those who approach him.

That is, until someone (most likely Gentarou) asks the Shadow what's wrong. The Shadow would promptly get upset - declaring that all of his old friends can't keep up with him. He has so many friends that, the more he has, the less they actually care about him. Right? Right? He'll declare to Gentarou that all of his friendships will likely go nowhere in the future, especially with Gentarou's eagerness to always make new friends, and with Gentarou's grades, he'll probably lose all of his friendships anyway once people start graduating.

... The thing is, this is Gentarou we're talking about. The Shadow barely has anything to go off of to even exist in the first place.

He knows all of these things might come to be true - but he'll accept them, or at the very least, let the Shadow beat him up until they come to an understanding - until the Shadow learns to accept that Gentarou would never let those things happen if he could help it. He'll probably cry upon hearing his Shadow's plight, cry that this part of him was in so much pain and he never knew (or even treat it like it were its own person), try to give the thing a hug, that a friendship takes more than just BEING friends, and even offer to be the Shadow's friend.

He'd, well... be himself. Gentarou would have no problems accepting his Shadow, nor would he have any helping others fight theirs - that's basically what he does every day anyway.

PERSONA: You may choose to either use a Persona 4-available Persona (so long as it is not being used by a canon character) or deisgn your own. If using an existing Persona, please choose THREE Personas, one for each of the Arcanae you've selected in the MAJOR ARCANA section. Their movesets will be adjusted accordingly, regardless of listed skill levels.

For those creating their own Persona, it should be based on a mythological figure (the choice is yours, so long as it's not used in the Persona-universe). Its Arcana will be given based on the one chosen for your character.

PERSONA ACQUISTION: Gentarou would not only shake the gas station attendant's hand, he would offer a bro fist, fist bump, and everything else and in-between. Naturally, this is not only the preferred route, but the only possible route with a manly man such as Gentarou!

>SAMPLES
(For panfandom apps, one of these must be set in the world of Caligo.)

FIRST PERSON ACTION, JOURNAL, OR PHONE SAMPLE: Caligo does not have one single network unlike many other games. It has phone calls, texts, a school and town bulletin board, and private journal entries (like we all know Yosuke used to write in middle school.) You're free to use whichever you see fit.

THIRD PERSON SAMPLE:
Gentarou wasn't sure what to make of what he'd been told.

Inner self? Shadows? Other world? Evil TVs?

This was almost as bad as the technobabble Kengo would go on and on about! Gentarou really didn't get most of it, though he supposed when he broke it down to the more important stuff, he could figure it out... more or less.

He wasn't where he was before anymore. The Fourze Driver didn't come with him, all the Astro Switches were gone (he was pretty sure this wasn't his fault, though, so he could tell Kengo that if Kengo ever bothered showing up - where was everybody else anyway?), but he now had some kind of magic purse... personal... what was the word again?

"Oh, right, Persona!" Gentarou grinned to himself, nodding at the achievement of recalling the word he'd heard for the first time this morning. "Yeah... Persona, huh? Wonder what that'll be like."

Persona... He had one of those, and apparently it was going to be just as good as Fourze in terms of fighting if the rumors going around meant anything. He could always try it out for himself later.

And last, but not least: The people here needed help. What's more? The people here weren't his friends yet.

Put things like that, and it was as easy as adding two and two - and contrary to popular belief, that was an equation that Gentarou could put together.

"Ooookay! I hope you're ready, Inaba!! I'm gonna make all of you into my friends!" Gentarou tapped his fist to his chest, then pointed across the lake. "So who wants to be my first bro!?"

At that exact moment, a fish jumped out of the water - nearby fishermen cried out in frustration, whereas Gentarou made a noise letting out his surprise and awe.

"Aha! A volunteer! Sorry, little fish, but I was planning to start with people first! But if you insist...!!"

And then Gentarou jumped into the lake.

Needless to say, he didn't make any friends with the fishermen that day.
